Wax Flowers in Recycled Glass

Wax Flowers in Recycled Glass

What you need:

  • Wax Flowers
  • Tall recycled glass vase with narrow opening

Steps: 3

Rated: Easy Arrangement

This is a simple arrangement.  The vase has an interesting shape, and the blue green color of the recycled glass is pleasant.  The flowers are also charming, but simple: wax flowers.  The wax flower, Chamelaucium, is native to Western Australia. Its name comes from the waxy feel of its leaves.  The small leaves of the wax flower release a pleasant aroma when they are crushed.

Wax flowers are typically thought of as a "filler flower".  They are used to "fill out" arrangements of larger flowers, but here they are used alone and work perfectly with the shape and color of the tall recycled vase.
