Teacup of Ranunculus

what you need:

  • 12 pink ranunculus blooms
  • 6 ranunculus buds (bud that haven't bloomed yet)
  • 12 white wax flower sprigs (1/3 of a bunch)
  • 12 oregonia sprigs (1/3 of a bunch)
  • vintage tea cup with saucer
  • 1/2 block of wet floral foam (I use Oasis brand)

Steps: 10

Rated: Easy Arrangement

You start with a vintage tea cup. Are you in the mood to go on a treasure hunt to a second hand store?

I find most of my tea cups on such ventures, and always keep an eye out for them because you never know when you will make a find. When I look at this arrangement I think of words like, romantic, delicate, feminine. This arrangement is a perfect centerpiece for a small table at any women's gathering: a tea party, luncheon, baby shower or bridal shower, and would also work wonderfully as part of a centerpiece grouping at a larger table, paring it with a photo in a vintage frame, a candle in a hurricane lamp with a floral ring, or a lantern.

This arrangement is easy to make, but it does take more time than you would think in order to have enough flowers and greens so that it doesn't look sparse, and to make sure that you cover all the floral foam. Leaving the floral foam showing is like a lady having her slip show....a no no.
